Sun-Net TOA® suite goes on-line at PNM
January 15, 2010

SAN JOSE, CA, January 15, 2010 - Sun-Net Consulting Inc. announced today that PNM has now deployed the Transmission Outage Application (TOA®) suite on-line. PNM, New Mexico’s largest electricity provider, serves about 498,700 electricity customers statewide and also sells electricity on the wholesale market.

“TOA® will help PNM streamline its outage coordination process that was using a number of ‘home grown’ software tools. These ‘home grown’ tools were seriously limited in functionality and usefulness to meet current and future change requirements. The TOA® product will allow PNM to maintain and improve existing and future WECC and NERC reporting requirements, while reducing O&M costs currently incurred to maintain various systems. The flexible reporting and querying capabilities of TOA® will provide unlimited time windows for querying information and creating reports. The TOA® switching procedure application will also provide a ‘standard’ format for writing procedures, eliminating variations in switching steps, thus eliminating confusion between Power Operations and Field Crews and hopefully reducing switching errors.” said Richard Krajewski, System Operations Manager of PNM.

Helen Hu, Principal of Sun-Net, added: “We are very proud of serving PNM as our customer. We are committed to continually enhancing the TOA® product suite and provide the best available tools for managing System Operations in Utility Industry”.
