SunNet Awarded Outage Coordination Software Contract by ATC

SAN JOSE, California, November 06, 2012 – San Jose based Sun-Net Consulting Inc.,, specializing in developing operations management software for the utility industry, announced that it has been awarded the contract for Sun-Net's Transmission Outage Application (TOA®) software suite by American Transmission Company (ATC) of Wisconsin.

ATC owns, operates, builds and maintains the high-voltage electric transmission system serving portions of Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota and Illinois. Formed in 2001 as the nation's first multi-state transmission-only utility, ATC has 9,440 miles of transmission lines and 519 substations. ATC is a member of the Midwest ISO.

TOA® solution is intended to provide ATC System Operations with the ability to log events such as outages – planned or forced, provide notifications of events, document analysis findings, plan and coordinate outages, prepare and archive switching instructions, produce reports for both internal usage and external compliance and regulatory agencies.
