SAN JOSE, California, September 25, 2013 - Sun-Net Consulting Inc. is happy to announce the beginning of a new TOA® software suite implementation project at our latest client, Homer Electric in Alaska.
Homer Electric is one of Alaska’s rural electric cooperative. Homer Electric purchases the majority of its electricity from Chugach Electric, another Sun-Net client, of who generates its power with natural gas turbines. The other power source Homer Electric uses is the Nikiski Generation Plant, located in North Kenai, Alaska. From this power source, they supply approximately 39 MW. Another power source is from Bradley Lake Hydroelectric Plant, which provides about 14 MW of power to the Kenai Peninsula. As an electric cooperative, there are 22,420 member-owners and Homer Electric covers over 3,166 square-miles of service area.
“We’re looking forward to working with Homer Electric for implementation of TOA® software solution for their transmission system operations needs. TOA® suite, with its strong outage scheduling, outage coordination, switching order management and logging functions will improve day to day efficiencies in a small organization such as Homer.” said Helen Hu, President of Sun-Net Consulting Inc.
